St Mark's Church

Inside St Marks
St Mark's Church is an Anglican Church in Derby, part of the Diocese of Derby in the Church of England.

St Mark's Parish is not in Chaddesden, as many people believe, but it does border the Chaddesden area of Derby, and it is difficult to tell where one parish ends and the other begins.

Since the 1930s the Church has stood in this busy  community, providing a place come for those who simply want to worship God, those who want to involve God in key moments in their lives and those who want to to celebrate with God the birth of a child, the start of a marriage or to remember and commit into God's care a departed loved one.

St Mark's currently has a small, committed congregation who worship God here in intimate circumstances, Sunday by Sunday and during the week.

On Sundays, a Eucharist is celebrated at 9.30 am in a central Catholic style of worship. Come and join us if you like the sound of meeting your creator in this setting.

On most Wednesdays, a Eucharist service is said. Check with the clergy to make sure it is happening before you make a special trip to attend this!
